Conservation and Wildlife Officer
Pooja is the Conservation and Wildlife Officer, responsible for A4ID’s work in the area of Biodiversity. Specifically, Pooja is implementing projects in the Kavango-Zambesi Transfrontier Conservation Area in Southern Africa, seeking to bolster the rule of law to combat illegal wildlife crime and trade in the region. Prior to joining A4ID in July 2023, Pooja was working as an environmental lawyer in New Zealand, advising on a range of environmental, planning and climate change matters.
Pooja is currently completing a Master of Laws from University College London, specialising in environmental law and policy, and holds a BA/LLB(honours) from the University of Auckland.
