The A4ID Foundation is based in New Delhi, India, aiming to build a network of legal and development organisations across Asia, to maximise the impact of legal pro bono and strengthen the rule of law in the region.

A4ID Foundation’s Aims

Through strategic collaboration, A4ID Foundation works with national and regional bar associations, leading law firms, and governments to focus on three key areas, including:

  • Building capacity of legal professionals in area of Responsible Business
  • Promoting a Unified Culture of Pro Bono Legal Services
  • Creating awareness on role of law and legal professionals in achieving the SDG targets

Partnerships

Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF)

A4ID has partnered with SILF to harness the expertise and skills of lawyers and law firms in India, towards fulfilling the UN SDGs. The Partnership aims to maximise the impact of legal pro bono in India through training events, capacity-building workshops, and roundtables.

Asia Pro Bono Consortium

A4ID Foundation is a proud member of the Asia Pro Bono Consortium, which focuses on the promotion of pro bono in the Asia-Pacific region, to improve access to justice and sustainable development. The Consortium does this through holding knowledge exchange events and capacity-building workshops, in which A4ID plays an active role. Further, A4ID is involved in the delivery of the Asia Pro Bono Conference.
